As we all know the beef between Birdman, Young Thug and Lil Wayne has been going on for a minute. Since the public split between Lil Wayne and Birdman there has been different situations that have everyone speculating on if this going to end peacefully.
This all started when Lil Wayne felt it was time for him to move on from Ca$h Money due to disputes over finances and the release of his upcoming project. Wayne later declared he was leaving with or without the labels blessing. Wayne the started releasing his frustrations with the label through a mixtape he released. Shortly after that Lil Wayne filed a 51 Million Dollar lawsuit against Birdman and Ca$sh Money.
This situation took a real turn for the worst when Birdman’s newest artist to sign to Ca$h Money decided to support his general and let Lil Wayne know his feelings towards the disrespect. Young Thug started firing shots at Wayne and Wayne firing shots back.
In early April Lil Wayne’s tour bus came under fire in Atlanta. The man arrested was Young Thugs road manager at the time Jimmy Winfrey. There has been a 30 count indictment naming Birdman and Young Thug as conspirators in a plot to kill Lil Wayne.
According to WSB-TV, the indictment, which charges associate Jimmy Winfrey, alleges that Birdman, 46, and Young Thug, 22, were involved in a plot to kill Wayne on his bus following an earlier threat from Young Thug against the “Lollipop” rapper’s life.
The article ties the two performers to the Blood gang and includes a quote from the filing reading, “After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, [Winfrey] and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by [Lil Wayne’s] group… The white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.”
The indictment then says Winfrey “placed a call to a cell phone owned by Bryan Williams.” Young Thug and Birdman have yet to be charged for these events, and Winfrey will appear in court on Friday.
