My name is Clane Matthew, and I am a Jamaican-born conscious hip-hop artist in Orlando, Florida. My music is a bit different. Instead of rapping about the recurrent themes of hip hop today like most artists, I chose a different route. I want to use my music as a way to invoke awareness, knowledge, peace, unity, and positivity in the younger generation and also the people who are lost in their way. I just want to spread positivity to the world and hopefully make a change for the better. I only have one EP so far and it’s called “On the Real”. This EP was basically an introduction to the name “Clane Matthew” and what my music stands for. Of the songs in the EP, the single “The Unspoken Word” brought me international buzz from major countries in Africa and also islands in the Caribbean. The song tackled the controversial topic of race, and what it is like to live as an African American male in the United States. The song generated close to 100,000 views worldwide and gained over 1,000 likes and 700 shares on Facebook. I am currently working on three EPs: “Melancholic Therapy, Season of Love,
and I’m Not A Rapper”. The Melancholic Therapy EP serves as a way to bring therapy and healing to me through my past, words, poetry, and music, in order to make a better me. “Season of Love” will uplift women all over the world of all shapes and sizes, letting them know they’re beautiful just the way they are. “I’m Not A Rapper” will be a tough-hitting, fire delivery of why I don’t consider myself a rapper, but an artist here to make the change and bring intellectual stimulation through my art. I’m very excited about meeting you guys for the first time! See you guys soon! The links to my
