Host Charito, academically prepared, with 19 years of experience in working with minorities in educational attainment, and self-sufficiency, as a Trainer and Motivational Speaker, currently serves her community as Vice President of a local non-profit organization that focuses on Educational Initiatives for Minorities in Miami, Florida.
Recognized by Yale University as a Best Practice Model for Minority Youth Programs and featured on WSVN Channel 7 News, NBC 6, and WFOR Channel 4 News in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, regarding educational initiatives and public policy issues in Florida.
She has been a guest on radio and television programs for Jefferson-Pilot Communications Company, Russell Simmons Hip Hop Action Network, and Talk To Me Sports, in support of educational attainment and financial literacy for minorities.
She is also a dedicated single parent and the luckiest mom in the world, to her daughter, Jessica. She is a Breast Cancer Survivor by Early Detection: March 16, 2009.
