Mercy Leonard was born in Puerto Rico and at an early age, she had a love for music. At any event or festival in Puerto Rico, she would always take the stage. In 1974, her family relocated to Miami-Dade County. Tv 51 Telemundo had a show for adolescents and teen vocalists, so she asked her mom to make a call to them. She was determined to sing and was given an audition. She was selected and met with producer Felix Lliraldi Fifo, who she sang with for 3 years.
She also took dancing and vocal lessons in art and theatre at La Danza Studio Gratelli. There she did many theatrical musical plays & received the Young Artist of the Year Award. Mercy continued to do concerts, radio interviews, and private parties. She had her own sound equipment, that her father bought for her, and at private parties, she would take over and DJ in between her own vocal sets.
Since then she has been in full effect taking stages on the Latin music scene performing and DJ’n at restaurants and private house parties. At the nightclubs, she’s spinning open-format, Latin music from the 70s to the latest hits. She also added Hip Hop to her musical line-up as well. She had a morning radio show, interviewed artists, and played indie music. With great honor, she is proud to be on the Excitement Radio team and you can catch her every Tuesday from 9pm – 10pm on “THE FUEGO SHOW” Latin music and open format.
