Rapper Cloak The Scribe is a voice in Chicago that needs to be heard. Inspired by hip hop icon Tupac Shakur’s lyricism, beats, and all-around musicianship, a 10-year-old Cloak knew it was time to pick up his pen and follow his muse.
“That’s what got me going,” said Cloak The Scribe. “Tupac, God rest his soul, was my motivation, my impetus, he knew how to write well and touch your soul.”
The chi-town artist has been an underground sensation. His first hit song, Life Music, hit hard and won him the respect of many in his hometown. Then his freshman body of work, DREAMS OF A GIANT, secured his place as a bonafide rapper.
Cloak has also navigated through the battle rap scene for several years, honing his skills as a lyricist and garnering awards on major platforms including a special BET CYPHER series in his community on May of 2015.
Cloak’s latest offering dubbed “A Little Music While You Wait” will keep your head bobbin’ with production from producers Jesse Parks, Grungy Boguez, Epik the Dawn, Renanzance Beats, Dre Knows, Rmb Justize, and Rockit Pro. Stand out tracks Yo and Dice will make you a believer. Cloak’s moderate to fast flow and lyricism comes across strong. “A LITTLE MUSIC WHILE YOU WAIT” is now available in all digital stores.
